Medical Assistant/LPN – Ambulatory Cardiovascular Medicine

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support cardiovascular ambulatory care at Marymount Hospital. The position works weekdays, providing direct patient care, screenings, and administrative support in a fast‑paced, faith‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and update patient health information, perform screenings, collect specimens, and document care.
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and maintain equipment and examination areas.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• For LPNs: deliver nursing care under RN/physician direction, complete assessments, implement care plans, and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or military medical training (HM, 68W, 4N0X1) with clinical experience.
• For LPNs: graduation from an approved Practical Nursing school and current Ohio LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical assisting techniques and clinical documentation.
• Manual dexterity to operate office and medical equipment.
