Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, as a Medical Assistant in the Urgent Care‑Ambulatory Operations department. You will work in a fast‑paced urgent care clinic providing quick access to medical care for common health problems, supporting a team dedicated to excellent patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating health information, identifying medication changes, updating allergy data, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate any changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain it during the new‑hire period.
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
