Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Join Futamura USA’s Engineering and Maintenance Department as a Mechanical Engineer. You will support the design, analysis, and implementation of equipment and systems for our biodegradable packaging film production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design calculations, develop equipment specifications, and create construction documents.
• Design, test, and cost‑justify tools, machinery, and equipment for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct pipe stress and support analyses, evaluate field installations, and recommend design modifications.
• Review and approve drawings, routings, specifications, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, vendors, and installers to ensure compliance with piping regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with pressure‑system mechanical integrity, pressure‑drop calculations, and fluid‑flow analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software for mechanical calculations.
• Pipe stress analysis and pipe‑support design.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
