Maintenance Technician (RT) - Tire Manufacturing

About the role

Michelin is hiring a Maintenance Technician (RT) in Greenville, SC, a technical wage position that plans, organizes, directs and performs electronic/electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximize production while meeting product quality standards at the assigned facility. The role involves rotating shifts in a 24-hour manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations for a safe work environment.
• Coordinate and participate in preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Establish machine repair priorities.
• Input and manage data in the maintenance management database.
• Troubleshoot machinery in the assigned areas of the manufacturing process.
• Interface with production, quality, engineering and support functions.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures when working on equipment.
• Carry out repairs and PMs that affect tire uniformity and quality.
• Complete assigned duties given by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Associate degree in EET, MET, Mechatronics or a similar curriculum, or 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, or military maintenance experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24-hour operation.
