About the role
The Police Department of the City of Rogers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform custodial, labor and minor maintenance tasks across its buildings and grounds. This safety‑sensitive position supports the daily operation of police facilities and requires reliable, hands‑on work.
Key responsibilities
- Climb ladders and replace light bulbs, clean light fixtures (approximately 9% of time).
- Perform minor carpentry repairs and maintain building structures (approximately 2% of time).
- Repair electrical plugs and outlets as needed (approximately 2% of time).
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and building perimeters as required (approximately 1% of time).
- Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, power tools, wet/dry vacs, mops, and hand tools to keep facilities clean and functional.
Required profile
- Ability to work safely in a security‑sensitive environment and pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Physical capability to perform ladder work, lift equipment, and conduct outdoor snow/ice removal.
- Reliability to respond to maintenance requests across police department buildings and grounds.
Required skills
- Use of ladders and light‑bulb replacement.
