Maintenance Technician – North Seattle

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its North Seattle property. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. You will work closely with residents and vendors to deliver high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings, parking areas, and common spaces, including trash removal, pressure‑washing, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Assist with vendor management, inventory tracking, and cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, basic plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and entry‑level carpentry.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license (for golf‑cart operation where applicable) and EPA Type 1, Type 2 or Universal refrigerant certification.

Required skills

• Safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools.
• Basic plumbing, appliance repair, and painting techniques.
• EPA refrigerant recycling certification (Type 1, Type 2, or Universal).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
