About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in the Surgical Orthopedics unit on the P shift. This full‑time position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and the chance to work in a 2,000‑employee hospital serving small‑town Missouri.

Key responsibilities

Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families.
Conduct ongoing assessments, document care activities, and communicate findings to the care team.
Collaborate with supervising RN or Shift Manager to meet all patient needs.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Current LPN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) – graduates must obtain within 90 days.
One year of nursing experience preferred.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
