LPN - Medical Telemetry (Part-Time, P-Shift)

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in the Medical Telemetry unit on a part‑time, P‑shift schedule. The role involves delivering safe, quality nursing care while collaborating with the RN and shift manager.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies on patient safety, infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notification.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate information to physicians and the care team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and foster teamwork and accountability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) – graduates must obtain within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIHSS certification through Apex Innovations.
