About the role

Phelps Health Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its Medical Telemetry unit on a P‑Shift. This full‑time position offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and the chance to provide direct patient care in a supportive, small‑town Missouri environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care, including medication administration, patient teaching, and safe handling practices in accordance with hospital policies.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, document care activities, and communicate vital information to physicians and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with supervising RN or Shift Manager, delegate tasks appropriately, and maintain a safe, infection‑controlled environment.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with a current LPN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure).
• At least one year of nursing experience preferred and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand for long periods, and work in a setting with frequent exposure to infectious materials.
