LPN – Medical Oncology Weekend – Full-Time with Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Phelps Health Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Medical Oncology team on weekends. This full‑time, P‑Shift position offers a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000 and provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced oncology setting.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, including infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notifications.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide patient and family education.
• Conduct ongoing assessments, document care activities, and communicate patient information to physicians and the care team.
• Collaborate with supervising RN or Shift Manager to ensure all patient needs are met and delegate tasks appropriately.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in Missouri (or Compact licensure) – graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills
