About the role

The LPN will work in the OB/GYN ambulatory unit at Akron General Medical Center, providing hands‑on patient care, assisting with procedures, and supporting women through prenatal, gynecologic, and fertility services.

Key responsibilities

Provide patient care activities under the direction of RN, physicians, and other providers.
Collect and document patient data, complete nursing assessments, and implement care plans.
Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and observe for adverse reactions.
Perform routine laboratory tests and educate patients and families.
Participate in orientation of new employees and share knowledge as assigned.

Required profile

Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
Current Ohio LPN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
One year of patient care experience preferred.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in Ohio.
