Job description

About the role

A company is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator with about 1 year of experience in Track & Trace, logistics, transportation, dispatch or a related operations role. Candidates with experience in any one of these areas, or with Track & Trace as their only logistics experience, are encouraged to apply. The role involves monitoring shipments and keeping them moving according to plan, with communication with carriers, drivers, dispatchers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation lifecycle by phone, email and TMS platforms.
  • Maintain accurate load statuses, pickup and delivery milestones, ETAs, arrival and departure times and location updates.
  • Coordinate pickup appointments and confirm shipment details with carriers and drivers.
  • Manage and follow up on pre-alerts and ensure required shipment information is accurate.
  • Request and document ETA updates, shipment progress and location information.
  • Communicate with carriers, drivers, dispatchers, planners and internal teams to support smooth shipment execution.
  • Maintain detailed shipment records, notes and updates in internal systems.
  • Identify, communicate and escalate delays, discrepancies, missed milestones or other operational issues.
  • Retrieve and validate shipment documentation, and forward Proofs of Delivery (PODs) to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensure all assigned loads are monitored until successful delivery.

Required profile

  • 1 year of experience in Track & Trace, logistics, transportation, dispatch or a related operations role; candidates with Track & Trace experience alone are welcome.
  • Full-time availability, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Knowledge of U.S. domestic ground freight, including FTL, LTL and intermodal transportation.
  • Understanding of shipment lifecycle milestones from pickup through final delivery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments at once.
  • English level B2+, written and verbal.

Required skills

  • Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS); e2open TMF and/or Descartes Aljex strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience coordinating pickups and managing pre-alerts is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
