Lehigh Valley Apprenticeship Consortium Coordinator

About the role

The German American Chamber of Commerce seeks a part‑time, locally based coordinator to support apprenticeship services and consortium activities throughout the Lehigh Valley region. The role involves administrative, logistical and relationship support for employers, apprentices, education partners and workforce organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the local point of contact for employers, apprentices, schools and consortium members, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Coordinate schedules, meetings, employer visits, recruitment events, assessments, mentorship training sessions and other regional engagements.
• Maintain accurate records of participants, milestones, deliverables and required documentation.
• Support apprenticeship recruitment, onboarding, progress monitoring and retention in collaboration with employers.

Required profile

• Resides in or can reliably work throughout the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
• 2+ years of experience in apprenticeship, workforce development, program coordination or a related field; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize limited weekly hours and collaborate with remote colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using common collaboration, data‑tracking, presentation and virtual meeting tools.
