Lead Health & Benefits Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Lead Health & Benefits Consultant to join its Health & Benefits team, part of the People and Investments business. The role is based in Chicago, IL, and is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. You will advise employers with 2,000+ lives on their medical, dental, life and disability plans, negotiating with carriers and vendors and acting as the primary consultant and strategic account manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements, covering service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placements, benchmarking and other studies.
• Develop benefits design and renewal strategies and the tools and solutions they require.
• Determine the full scope of services and set roles and responsibilities within the client team.
• Communicate Marsh's position on the latest industry trends to clients.
• Be accountable for revenue and profitability of client accounts and projects, and monitor scope, budget, timeliness and client satisfaction.
• Generate sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and prospecting new ones, and create demand for new products and services.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree.
• At least 8 years of experience identifying, designing, recommending and implementing business solutions to clients' complex healthcare benefits challenges.
• Renowned expertise and reputation in the health and benefits field.
• Client-facing experience in a consulting environment.
• Life & Health license.

• Base salary range of $115,200 to $230,400, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors.
