Lead Caregiver

About the role

BAYADA is seeking a compassionate Lead Caregiver to provide hands‑on in‑home care while mentoring fellow caregivers across the Phoenix metropolitan area. The role blends direct client support with field‑based oversight and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver client‑centered care in homes, traveling 60‑70% of the time throughout the territory.
• Serve as a role model and resource for caregivers, guiding orientation, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Observe caregiver‑client interactions, report updates to the office, and collaborate with Case Managers on client condition changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits, observations, and follow‑up actions.
• Participate in on‑call duties and provide urgent support when needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability in home‑care settings.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Phoenix area and work flexible hours, including after‑hours visits.

Required skills

• Current CPR or first‑aid certification (if required by state guidelines).
• Experience providing personal care, homemaking, or companionship in a home‑care role.
