Law Enforcement Investigator II – Gaming Enforcement

About the role

The Florida Gaming Control Commission seeks a Law Enforcement Investigator II to support its mission of preserving the integrity of gaming activities. This full‑time, career‑service position conducts criminal, internal, and intelligence investigations related to illegal gambling and gaming violations.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate violations of criminal laws related to gaming, collect evidence, prepare investigative reports, execute warrants, and make arrests.
• Receive and open cases involving illegal gambling, contraband devices, and organized schemes, coordinating with other law‑enforcement agencies.
• Conduct undercover operations to gather intelligence and uncover criminal methodologies.
• Manage multiple investigative assignments, analyze files, and present findings to management.
• Provide testimony in court and collaborate with federal, state, county, and municipal law‑enforcement partners.

Required profile

• Eligibility for law‑enforcement duties under Florida Statutes §16.711, F.S.
• Experience conducting criminal, internal, and intelligence investigations.
• Ability to work undercover and handle highly sensitive, confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and courtroom testimony.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to obtain required certifications.
