Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Onsite in Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join its on‑site team in Yokosuka, Japan, supporting a U.S. government contract. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care to routine and high‑risk obstetrical patients and newborns during the transition period, working within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring mothers, newborns, and post‑operative patients, including C‑sections and spontaneous pregnancy loss.
• Administer medications and IV therapy, manage central and peripheral intravenous lines, and monitor patient responses.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialty obstetric equipment, maintain logs, and ensure a safe patient care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, social workers, and other team members to assess and adjust patient care plans.
• Participate in on‑call duties: 24‑hour call every other week with a 30‑minute response requirement, and work rotating day/night shifts.
• Cover additional shifts as needed and work federal holidays according to the schedule.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing.
• Ability to work 12‑16 hour shifts, 14‑17 shifts per month, and rotating schedules.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without H‑1B sponsorship.
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to respond quickly to emergencies, and excellent communication skills.
