Kids Camp Attendant

About the role

Loews Miami Beach Hotel, a reimagined oceanfront resort in South Beach, is looking for an energetic and caring Kids Camp Attendant. The attendant leads activities, supervises play and ensures a safe, fun and engaging environment for children in the hotel's camp programs, while communicating with parents and keeping families welcomed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead age-appropriate games, crafts and recreational activities, and engage children in fun, educational, interactive experiences
• Promote a positive, inclusive environment and monitor children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being
• Enforce camp rules, maintain compliance with health and safety standards, and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
• Communicate with parents about schedules, activities and concerns
• Prepare activity spaces, keep them clean, track attendance and help with inventory of supplies
• Provide exceptional service to families and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Child-centered professional who loves working with children and prioritizes their safety and happiness
• Creative facilitator, dependable team player and safety advocate who follows health and safety protocols
• Positive role model showing patience, kindness and enthusiasm
• Previous experience with children in a camp, daycare or recreation setting preferred
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and flexible shifts, and to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds
• Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply

Required skills

• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
