IT Support Representative

About the role

The IT Support Representative provides day‑to‑day technical assistance for the organization’s hardware, software, and network environments. You will be the first point of contact for employees needing help with devices, applications, and connectivity, ensuring smooth and secure IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for IT support tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
• Provide remote and on‑site assistance, escalating complex problems to senior staff or vendors.
• Set up workstations, laptops, printers and mobile devices for new hires and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Maintain user accounts, passwords, access permissions and install updates, patches and security configurations.
• Monitor system performance, document incidents and contribute to IT knowledge bases.
• Assist with network troubleshooting, VPN, email issues and enforce cybersecurity best practices.
• Track IT inventory, coordinate repairs, warranty claims and keep accurate asset records.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years of experience in IT support or help‑desk environments.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Support for Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common business applications.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with hardware setup (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software updates.
• Understanding of endpoint protection, access controls, backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification preferred.
