IS Epic Specialist

About the role

The IS Epic Specialist provides technical expertise, workflow training and end‑user support for Epic applications across multiple healthcare settings. You will partner with users to optimize system use, participate in usability testing, and support implementation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Epic education and support during and after implementation/onboarding.
• Conduct usability testing, efficiency sessions, classroom and one‑on‑one training.
• Identify user goals, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.
• Maintain expertise in assigned Epic applications and related departmental workflows.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in education, healthcare IT, customer service, or 1 year of Epic experience.
• Preferred experience includes 1 year of EMR implementation, project management, and clinical exposure.
• Ability to work variable hours, travel between facilities, and handle frequent interruptions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic software.
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
