Inside Sales Representative

About the role

Denver Industrial Pumps, a SunSource company, is a full-service pump distributor headquartered in Golden, Colorado, serving markets such as oil field, industrial, municipal, mining, power generation, food and beverage, OEM and government. It is seeking an Inside Sales Representative whose main purpose is to grow sales of its products by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling the activities that lead to increased sales. Relocation is supported.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries about products and services
• Process phone orders, check stock availability and shipping dates, quote prices, fill orders to customer specifications, process sales data and track stock levels
• Maintain partner, account and activity data and document customer interactions
• Present products using technology such as MS Teams and highlight salable features
• Prepare reports on business transactions and related report requests
• Take part in manufacturer-led training to advance product, market and technical knowledge
• Assist outside sales staff by preparing price quotes and sourcing product

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or another technical discipline, or related degrees
• 2+ years of experience in pump inside sales or customer service
• Authorization to work in the USA without support
• Able to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally, with valid identification

Required skills

• Professional inside sales skills, including working independently
• Ability to deliver effective product presentations by phone and in person
• Excellent verbal, written communication and data entry skills
• Good PC skills with above-average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Aptitude for learning and applying new systems
