Industry 4.0 Manager

About the role

Michelin is hiring an on-site Industry 4.0 Manager at its PRIME facility in Greenville, South Carolina, which produces ultra-high-performance tires. The role leads Industry 4.0 and data transformation initiatives across the plant, combining strategy, project management, change leadership and data governance to drive data excellence and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site's Industry 4.0 and data transformation strategy, aligned with plant priorities and business objectives.
• Develop and manage the digital transformation roadmap so projects are delivered on time, within budget and to company standards.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, IT, quality and operations teams to improve efficiency and value creation.
• Oversee the Factory Data Lake and related data platforms, and ensure data quality, integrity, accessibility and consistency across plant systems.
• Promote adoption of digital tools through training, communication and change management.
• Support local Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Administrators and coach them.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and set action plans; act as the primary site contact for plant-generated data.
• Promote data governance, security requirements and intellectual property protection.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, engineering, data analytics, manufacturing systems or a related field.
• Experience leading digital transformation, Industry 4.0, manufacturing technology, data management or operational excellence initiatives.
• Solid project management experience with multiple priorities, teams, budgets and timelines.
• Experience with manufacturing systems, automation, industrial connectivity or smart factory environments.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions and to influence teams at all levels.
• Experience coaching or mentoring technical and business teams.
• Certification in Project Management, Data Management, Lean Manufacturing or related fields is a plus.
