Human Resources Representative

About the role

The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) is seeking a motivated, organized and detail-oriented Human Resources professional for its IYC Warrenville location. The position supports daily operations by handling workers' compensation, employee leaves and benefits, personnel transactions and recruitment and hiring initiatives. It is a full-time, salaried union position with a Monday to Friday schedule (8:00 AM-4:00 PM) and a hybrid arrangement of 4 to 5 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for human resources inquiries and requests.
• Serve as Group Insurance Preparer (GIP).
• Serve as Worker's Compensation Coordinator.
• Keyboard and submit the forms required for these functions.

Required profile

• Proactive self-starter, team player and resourceful problem-solver who can handle competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24-hour congregate care setting.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practices, sound judgment, confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Bilingual skills are welcome; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Anticipated starting salary of $5,834 per month, with a full range of $5,834 to $8,307 per month.
