HR Business Partner

About the role

Marand USA, part of an Australian advanced manufacturing business, is entering a new phase of growth in Fort Worth, Texas. It is looking for its first dedicated HR Business Partner, a hands-on, business-facing role working with the General Manager and local leadership team. You will support recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding, employee relations, leadership capability and the people foundations needed for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager and leadership team on workforce planning, recruitment, engagement, employee relations and people priorities
• Support recruitment across professional, technical, operational and skilled trade roles
• Build local talent pipelines through workforce agencies, technical schools, industry networks and community partnerships
• Support onboarding, induction and workforce readiness for new starters
• Coach leaders on performance, conduct, conflict resolution, investigations and employee relations matters
• Provide practical HR advice balancing business needs, employee experience, consistency and risk
• Support workers' compensation, accommodation and return-to-work matters
• Help establish HR processes, documentation, reporting and systems that can scale
• Use workforce data, market insights and recruitment metrics to support decision-making

Required profile

• 5+ years in an HR Advisory, HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
• Strong capability in recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding and employee relations
• Experience partnering with operational leaders and supporting mixed workforces
• Hands-on approach while improving systems and processes
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineering, logistics, start-ups, scale-ups or greenfield environments highly regarded
• Experience with hourly, direct labour or skilled trade workforces, and exposure to HRIS or applicant tracking systems, highly regarded

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of U.S. employment legislation and HR compliance requirements
• Strong judgement, communication, follow-through and problem-solving skills
