HR Assistant

About the role

Adams Outdoor Advertising is seeking an organized and detail‑oriented HR Assistant to support its Human Resources department. The role works closely with the HR Generalist, HR Manager and CHRO to coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leave management, compliance and employee services.
• Assist with recruitment by publishing job ads, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates and coordinating onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS records, including personnel changes and documentation.
• Respond to employee inquiries about policies, benefits, payroll and HR procedures.
• Support benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life‑event changes and open enrollment communication.
• Track leave requests, maintain documentation and coordinate with managers.
• Assist with compliance activities, record maintenance, audits and required employment documentation.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, recognition programs and HR events.
• Prepare HR reports, update tracking spreadsheets and contribute to special projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of administrative, HR or related office experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and use HRIS platforms and other HR technology systems.
