Hotel Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim North is hiring a hotel maintenance engineer in Anaheim, California. The engineer performs preventative and repair maintenance so the hotel meets its quality and sustainability standards, while treating guests warmly and friendily. The pay is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings; paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture and perform minor plumbing functions.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and carry out preventative maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair water lines and troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records and work to local, state and federal codes.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Act as a bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak check-in/check-out periods, and follow safe work practices and OSHA standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous engineer or maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends and alternate shifts. The work involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds and bending, kneeling and climbing.
