Fry Cook (Full-Time) - Wrigley Mansion

About the role

Pyramid Global Hospitality manages a portfolio of more than 200 hotels and resorts and is recruiting a full-time Fry Cook for its Wrigley Mansion property. The cook maintains and sets up food production and quality control for all meat, fish, poultry, sauces, stocks, seasonings and other items prepared in the kitchen stations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all food items according to standard recipes or as specified on the guest check, ensuring consistent product for the guest.
• Visually inspect, select and use only food items suitable for cooking and preparation of menu items.
• Maintain consistency and work as part of a team.
• Check and control proper storage of products, monitoring age and condition so items are rotated and kept at the highest quality.
• Keep refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter-free, in line with health department regulations.
• Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items needed for production.
• Read and apply math skills to follow recipes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school is preferred.
• At least two years of cooking experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen.
• Prior hotel or resort experience, and upscale or luxury dining experience, are preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Maricopa County Food Handler Card.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes using math skills.
