About the role
The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, including floor care and trash removal.
Key responsibilities
- Gather, wash, and store pots, pans, dishes, glassware and flatware using a three‑compartment sink or pot machine.
- Maintain chemical detergents in dishwashers, pot washers and dispensers.
- Clean kitchen equipment such as dish machines, ice machines, prep tables, hot boxes and refrigerators.
- Sweep, mop, and wash all floors, floor mats, baseboards, floor drains and hand sinks.
- Separate, remove and properly dispose of trash and garbage, including biohazard cleanup.
- Maintain linen inventories and remove soiled linen.
- Comply with health, safety and regulatory policies (Health Department, OSHA, Fire Department, etc.).
- Complete mandatory health and safety training and perform other duties as required by management.
Required profile
- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
- At least one year of prior work experience, preferably as a dishwasher.
- Maricopa Food Handler’s Card (ServSafe certification preferred).
