Host/Hostess – Fine‑Dining at Geordie's Wrigley Mansion

About the role

The Host/Hostess greets guests, manages seating, and ensures a polished first impression in Geordie's fine‑dining restaurant at the historic Wrigley Mansion. This is a full‑time seasonal position with evening dinner service Tuesday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests, offer seating choices, escort to tables and present menus.
• Maintain dining‑room set‑up, enforce uniform and grooming standards, and assign stations to service staff.
• Conduct daily roll‑call meetings to communicate promotions, specials, guest comments and memos.
• Handle reservations and special functions using OpenTable, manage pacing and seating flow, and record guest preferences.
• Perform opening and closing duties, assist with side work such as cleaning, stocking and folding napkins.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to VIP guests, manage waitlists and seating adjustments in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• At least six months of customer‑service experience; prior host/hostess or upscale restaurant experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Card (obtainable after hire) and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
