Home Health Aide – Flexible Shifts in Hackensack

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Home Health Aides to provide compassionate in‑home care for clients across Hackensack and surrounding counties. You can work full‑time or part‑time on daytime or evening shifts, earning $20‑21 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as grooming, toileting, bathing, and oral feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
• Support range‑of‑motion exercises, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and provide medication assistance.
• Help with ambulation and overall home management tasks.

Required profile

• At least one year of work references (newly certified candidates welcome).
• Current HHA license in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Reliable transportation and ability to communicate in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• If you lack a license, BAYADA offers certification courses.

Required skills

• Competence in personal care activities (grooming, toileting, bathing).
• Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Knowledge of basic vital‑sign monitoring.
• Experience with mobility assistance and use of lifting devices.
• Medication assistance and basic health‑related support.
