Special Needs Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is looking for compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one‑on‑one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Marion, NC and surrounding areas. You will help clients build independence, develop life skills, and engage in community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance such as dressing, grooming and daily living support.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands and community outings.
• Assist with meal preparation and household routines.
• Support participation in hobbies, recreational activities and social engagement.
• Promote community integration and independence goals.

Required profile

• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Passion for helping others and making a meaningful impact.
