Special Needs Caregiver – Part‑time Direct Support

About the role

Join BAYADA as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful difference every day. You will provide one‑on‑one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build confidence, gain independence, and achieve personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social events.
• Provide encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful companionship.
• Support personal care needs, including dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Empower individuals to reach their goals and live as independently as possible.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to appointments and activities.
• Experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician, Behavioral Technician, Paraprofessional or Teacher/Teaching Assistant is highly preferred but not required.
