Childcare Provider

About the role

The Childcare Provider works at The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana, reporting to the Childcare Manager. The role delivers a safe, positive and caring environment for children in Ranch care, building parental trust while staying professional, patient, dependable, energetic and loving. It is a non-exempt hourly position.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with children in a developmentally appropriate, play-based way and meet their emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs.
• Prepare meals for the children, following dietary restrictions.
• Maintain daily open communication with parents and keep accurate records of accidents, medication and daily parent reports.
• Develop and maintain a warm, high-quality learning environment and keep clear confidentiality.
• Report any suspected abuse to the supervisor and keep a positive, safe and healthy environment.
• Attend all staff meetings, follow licensing and registration regulations, and act as a positive influence on children and parents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisor and childcare experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification, and up-to-date immunization records (measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria).
• Ability to stand and move at a steady pace for up to 6 hours, lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
• Good hearing and vision, and manual dexterity to operate equipment and write.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in the primary language(s) used at work.
• Must attend the Basic Daycare Orientation within 60 days of hire and complete 8 hours of approved training each year.
