Head of Business Operations

About the role

Range is seeking an experienced Head of Business Operations to own and execute the company’s most important cross‑functional initiatives as it scales. This senior leader will partner with the executive team to turn ambiguous problems into delivered outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the highest‑priority cross‑functional initiatives end‑to‑end, from problem definition to clean hand‑off.
• Create structure in ambiguous situations, defining scoped plans with clear milestones, owners, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Drive execution across multiple teams without formal authority, ensuring timely delivery to spec.
• Apply analytical rigor: use data to frame problems, build business cases, and measure impact.
• Keep functional leads and executives aligned on status, risks, trade‑offs, and decisions.
• Establish operating standards, templates, and playbooks to make Business Operations a repeatable, high‑leverage engine.
• Partner with Product, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, Advisory, and member‑facing teams to support strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience, ideally from a top management consulting firm or business operations at a hyper‑growth startup.
• Undergraduate degree and MBA from top‑tier universities.
• Highly analytical with a talent for creating structure in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent project‑management skills and strong attention to detail.
• High ownership mindset and ability to deliver outcomes measured by results.
• Strong cross‑functional influence and ability to mobilize teams without direct reports.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑paced startup environment with solid business judgment.
