Group Exercise Instructor – Reformer Pilates

About the role

The YMCA is seeking a part‑time Group Exercise Instructor to lead Reformer Pilates and other group classes in a safe, enjoyable environment for members of all skill levels. You will report to the Health and Wellness Director and work closely with the wellness team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe, and educational group exercise classes, adapting movements to meet diverse health, ability, and cultural needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance records using MotionVibe software and follow YMCA policies, including emergency response.
• Build community by fostering authentic relationships among participants and celebrating their achievements.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience leading group exercise classes.
• Current nationally‑certified Group Exercise certification (NCCA‑accredited preferred, e.g., ACE, AFFA, NASM, NSCA, ISSA).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MotionVibe class management software.
• Knowledge of wellness trends and ability to convey health information.
• Certification in specific formats (e.g., Yoga, Spin, Les Mills Body Pump/Combat) when applicable.
