Clinical Engineering Manager, R&D

About the role

The Clinical Engineering Manager, R&D leads a team of engineers to develop and launch medical devices, focusing on both theoretical and practical solutions. This role collaborates across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to drive product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a group of entry‑level to junior engineers on defined projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Lead multiple large‑scale or smaller projects independently using established project‑management methodology.
• Communicate project status and issues clearly to stakeholders.
• Analyze research data and product specifications to assess feasibility.
• Specify and test new materials and designs, preparing quality system documentation and detailed drawings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Bioengineering, Electrical, etc.).
• Minimum 6 years of medical‑device industry experience and at least 1 year of management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
