Groundskeeper/Porter – Part‑Time

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the physical appearance and safety of the Pringle Square community in Charlotte, NC. This part‑time position supports the service team and ensures the property’s curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings to keep all amenities neat.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before make‑ready, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Perform minor service requests, assist the make‑ready specialist, and change locks according to policy.
• Ensure pool gates function safely and distribute resident notices as needed.
• Report hazards, respond to resident inquiries, and handle complaints with respect.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and respond to on‑call situations.

Required skills

• Basic lock‑changing procedures.
• Knowledge of safety and risk‑management policies.

• Hourly pay range $18.00 – $20.00.
