General Manager – Property Operations

About the role

The General Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations of multiple residential properties, leading teams to meet financial and operational goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage property budgets, set rent rates, collect fees, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, manage petty cash, and ensure proper insurance documentation.
• Oversee leasing processes, including application approvals, lease renewals, inspections, evictions, and fee collections.
• Analyze market trends to create marketing and leasing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain resident satisfaction by addressing complaints, service requests, and ensuring timely maintenance.
• Conduct regular property inspections to uphold safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
• Hire, train, and supervise property staff, managing performance according to company policies.
• Maintain owner relationships through property tours, performance updates, and responding to owner inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4‑6 years of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and capable of working independently and as a team leader.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Entrata, Yardi, OneSite).
• Strong computer skills: internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site vehicle operation.
• All required state and local licenses/certifications for property management.
