General Manager / Operations Director

About the role

The General Manager/Operations Director will lead the Gonzales outlet center, driving NOI through revenue growth, expense control, and innovative shopper experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business, budget, and 5‑year capital plans to maximize property NOI.
• Increase revenue streams, manage expenses, and oversee all core profit centers including CAM, short‑term leasing, utilities, and marketing partnerships.
• Lead leasing efforts, cultivate local retailers, and convert deals to permanent leases.
• Oversee property operations, maintenance, construction coordination, safety, and compliance with regulations.
• Manage marketing initiatives, security plans, and community relationships to enhance the center’s profile.
• Recruit, train, and supervise center staff while partnering with HR on personnel matters.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree and 4+ years of management, marketing, or hospitality experience.
• 5‑7 years of operations management experience, preferably in commercial real estate or retail.
• Strong leadership, critical‑thinking, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and construction practices.
• Understanding of utility efficiency, sustainability programs, and government rebate initiatives.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial forecasts, and capital planning.
