Maintenance Technician – Solis Buffaloe

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Solis Buffaloe property—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports both resident service requests and preventative maintenance during a rotating on‑call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in safety meetings and OSHA training.
• Ability to inspect contractor work for quality, scope and specification compliance.
• Willingness to conduct routine property inspections and communicate maintenance needs to management.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).
