Maintenance Technician for Mid‑Rise Apartment Community

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Alexan Moto property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports both resident service requests and preventative upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspection.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for tracking purposes.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in all weather conditions.
• Capability to lift up to 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays on call.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and Type II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
