Front Office Agent

About the role

The Loews Arlington Hotel, part of Loews Hotels & Co., is looking for a Front Office Agent. The hotel is a large resort in Arlington's sports district, serving 888 rooms, five dining venues, pools, spa services and 266,000 square feet of event space, with skybridge access to Live! by Loews. The agent is the face of the hotel, creating memorable first impressions and delivering exceptional guest experiences from check-in to check-out.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and register guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a seamless arrival.
• Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
• Obtain and verify credit and payment information in line with hotel policy.
• Promote hotel services, amenities and local attractions.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings and banquet orders.
• Perform check-outs and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Keep the Front Desk and lobby clean and well presented.
• Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritising guest and team member safety.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and pride in anticipating and exceeding guest needs.
• Clear verbal and written communication, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Preferred: at least one year of guest service experience in hotel hospitality.
• Veterans and military spouses encouraged to apply.

Required skills

• Experience with a previous Property Management System, preferred.
• Experience with the Opera system, preferred.
