About the role

Busuu is seeking experienced Japanese teachers to deliver high‑quality, 45‑minute online lessons to corporate learners and private students worldwide. This fully remote freelance position allows you to work from anywhere while helping learners achieve confidence in Japanese.

Key responsibilities

Plan, prepare and teach 45‑minute online Japanese lessons for corporate clients.
Conduct 1:1 private lessons that include needs analysis, level assessment, and creation of personalized learning paths.
Monitor student progress during lessons, provide feedback, and set clear learning goals.
Maintain lesson materials and adapt content to real‑life contexts.

Required profile

Native‑level or C2 proficiency in Japanese.
Valid teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, CELTA or equivalent).
Experience delivering online language instruction.

Required skills

Japanese language proficiency (C2 level).
Teaching certification.
