Food Safety and Quality Technician – Night Shift

About the role

Ocean Spray seeks a detail‑oriented Food Safety and Quality Technician to join the night‑shift operations team at its Middleboro, MA production facility. The role ensures that all food quality and safety standards are consistently met, supporting the plant’s commitment to product excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality testing, analysis, and review to verify production meets schedule and quality standards.
• Train manufacturing personnel on quality systems and support continuous improvement.
• Initiate problem‑solving activities for quality parameter issues and act as point of contact for food safety concerns.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment.
• Conduct QA verification of cleaned equipment, sanitation support, positive release duties, and microbiological testing as needed.
• Investigate product holds and perform FM investigations when required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Food Science or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years production/manufacturing experience or 2+ years relevant lab technician experience; food/beverage industry experience a plus.
• Strong mathematical ability, analytical skills, and effective interpersonal communication.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
