Machine Operator – 12‑hr Night Shift

About the role

Join the team at Ocean Spray’s Middleboro processing plant as a Machine Operator. Work a 12‑hour rotating night shift (6 pm‑6 am) with weekends off, earning $29.38 per hour plus shift differential.

Key responsibilities

• Operate processing and packaging equipment, including batch mixing, equipment calibration, and data entry using company software.
• Handle heavy raw, packaging, and finished materials manually or with industrial vehicles, load and unload tank trucks, and maintain material receipts and usage records.
• Perform quality, sensory and sanitation tests, draw samples, record color specifications, and ensure products meet quality parameters.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment and related machinery.
• Support production tasks for items being shipped and maintain inventory counts as needed.

Required profile

• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
• Capable of lifting up to 48 lb and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and crawling for a 12‑hour shift.
• Willing to wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, hairnet, gloves, etc.).
• Ability to read, write, follow oral and written instructions, and perform basic math calculations.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with hand tools.
