Food and Beverage Outlet Supervisor

About the role

Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, is looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to lead a team and deliver exceptional guest experiences across its dining and beverage outlets. The role covers supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, and helping with training, scheduling and inventory so that operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned food and beverage outlets or shifts to ensure efficiency.
• Monitor service quality, food presentation and guest satisfaction, and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery.
• Help plan and manage special events, banquets and private functions.
• Greet guests, answer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Gather and analyse guest feedback to suggest improvements.
• Supervise, schedule and delegate tasks to service staff, conduct pre-shift meetings and coach new team members.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels, track sales, control waste and implement portion control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations and regular attendance.

Required profile

• At least one year of food and beverage experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of food and beverage techniques, service standards and sanitation regulations.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills, able to lift and carry trays of 35+ pounds.
• TABC permit or ability to obtain one.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
