Financial Management Specialist – Civilian Pay

About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a Full‑Time Financial Management Specialist to support the Civilian Pay section at Hill Air Force Base. You will manage the formulation, justification, and execution of the Civilian Payroll Program for all installation organizations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial management functions for the Civilian Payroll Program, including planning, directing, integrating, and executing program elements.
• Apply federal financial and accounting regulations, policies, and procedures to payroll operations.
• Safeguard classified or sensitive financial information and maintain required security clearance.
• Travel on military or commercial aircraft as needed for temporary duty assignments.
• Maintain certification as a Financial Management Level 2 specialist in accordance with the NDAA 2012.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Knowledge of financial/accounting methods, regulations, policies, and related computer systems.
• Understanding of installation financial programs and related data sources.
• Strong analytical abilities to gather, assemble, and assess financial data.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for presenting financial analyses and recommendations.
