Finance Business Partner – Operations (Functional Controller)

About the role

The Functional Controller will partner with operational leaders to analyze performance, increase visibility into key drivers, and provide data‑based recommendations that improve the business. Based in Weston, FL, this office‑based role supports DHL eCommerce’s finance team in delivering planning, forecasting, reporting and decision‑support services.

Key responsibilities

• Own reporting and analysis of operational and financial performance for assigned functions, covering volume, revenue, costs, expenses and investments.
• Develop and enhance management reports, financial models and methodologies to improve transparency and decision support.
• Partner with functional leaders on budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor cost‑control and optimization projects while supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
• Review major spend categories, conduct business‑case analyses, evaluate investments and present recommendations to Finance leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT and cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity, audit readiness and strong internal controls.
• Support process improvement, SOP compliance and the digitalisation or automation of reports and processes.
• Promote financial awareness within assigned functions through coaching, stakeholder alignment and cross‑functional project support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
