Field Specialist - RYOBI Experience Team (Remote)

About the role

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI, is hiring a Field Specialist for its RYOBI Experience Team. The role provides support for TTI brand riding mower programs by engaging customers and service centers in the field to expand the program. It covers a large territory, diagnosing and repairing riding mowers, training and recruiting service centers, and works closely with the engagement center in Anderson, South Carolina. The position is remote, based in Reno.

Key responsibilities

• Cover a large territory for riding mower customer support
• Diagnose and repair TTI riding mowers in the field
• Recruit and train new service centers for riding mower repair programs
• Train existing service centers on current and new riding mowers
• Act as a subject matter expert on riding mower programs
• Visit customer residences to diagnose and repair mowers
• Visit service centers when needed for repair assistance
• Keep communication channels open with all TTI parties
• Provide phone support for customers and service centers when needed
• Provide performance reports when requested
• Work with engineering and project management on current issues
• Keep the company-provided work vehicle and tools organized and clean

Required profile

• Extensive travel within the territory and some overnight stays
• Mechanically inclined; specific rider repair training will be provided
• Able to problem solve and think critically
• Prior presenting and/or training experience preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to satisfy consumers and end-users with little guidance or management intervention
• Empathy and the ability to relate to customers
