Field Service Engineer – Boston, MA

About the role

Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer in Boston, where you will use your technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high‑quality service and generating service revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, adhere to entitlements, set expectations, and meet arrival commitments.
• Install, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, and network components of imaging equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, installation documentation, and other regulatory paperwork.
• Travel across the assigned geography (average 1‑4 hours daily, occasional overnight stays).

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment (field or hospital‑based).
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• Authorization to work in the United States and residence within commuting distance to Boston.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory.
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging equipment and related test tools.
• Capability to safely handle radiation sources and use personal protective equipment.
